課程目標
The topics of this semester will be different from last year. This year we will focus on conformal field theories in 1+1 and higher dimensions, and connections with quantum integrable systems.

The first part of the course will be based on lecture notes by Sylvain RIbault:
https://arxiv.org/pdf/1406.4290.pdf
for CFTs in 1+1 dimensions.

Also the lecture notes by Slava Rychkov:
https://arxiv.org/abs/1601.05000
for CFTs in higher dimensions.

Reviews by John Cardy:
https://arxiv.org/pdf/0807.3472v1.pdf
and the Big Yellow book by Di Francesco et al are also useful references.

The second half of course will focus on introducing quantum integrable systems.

We will roughly follow the lecture notes by Ludwig Faddeev:
https://arxiv.org/abs/hep-th/9605187

Plus some classical materials by Olivier Babelon:
http://www.lpthe.jussieu.fr/~babelon/saclay2007.pdf

The book by Rodney Baxter (Exactly Soluable Models in Statistical Mechanics)
https://physics.anu.edu.au/theophys/_files/Exactly.pdf
will be a useful general reference.

The ambitious aim of this course is to introduce students in theoretical physics these very exciting and widely applicable areas, we will see how things go as the course progresses.

The course will be closer to lunch time seminar and reading/journal club style, so crowd participations will be essential!
課程要求
Quantum Field Theory I and preferably taking Quantum Field Theory II simultaneously. Basic group theory and differential geometry.

It is desirable that students are also taking Many Body Physics course by Professor Ying-Jer Kao, and have good backgrounds in statistical mechanics.
